Teaching writing in Primary
Support for primary school teachers and educators of children aged 5-12
This course is designed as an introduction to teaching writing for teachers and educators working with pupils aged 5-12. Based on research regarding effective practice, the course focuses on key foundation blocks that should be part of every 'writing classroom' and highlights factors which aid or hinder pupil progress in writing. Ideally, this course should be combined with other courses to provide comprehensive support for the development of writing. Based on teaching in UK schools, teachers and educators will find the main elements transferable to other parts of the world, particularly English speaking nations.
